Davis Food Co-op Carrots in the Classroom Program
The Davis Food Co-op provides Davis public schools with free classroom visits.

Kids eagerly participate in a discussion about eating whole foods.

The Co-op instructor cooks up delicious corn cakes for the kids.
For elementary classes, we offer cooking, storytelling, art and/or buying locally. We provide all the supplies needed, a 5-minute presentation on cooperatives, and an interactive lesson in cooking, art, storytelling, and/or buying locally.
For Junior High & High School students, we offer a nutrition presentation (with reinforcing snacks) and a lively question and answer period.
We're also happy to visit any preschool in Davis for a presentation to kids (usually smelling and tasting produce) or adults (a presentation on feeding kids, again with reinforcing snacks).
Store tours are available on request for any group.
